My little Scrapbooker

Yesterday I went to my friend Cleo's Bellaboo crop with my daughter Keira who has just turned 4 ! ...OOOh a kid at the crop you might think !!! Yes i know it isn't ideal but I knew it was going to be a quiet crop as lots of people couldn't make it & I wanted to at least pop in , visit the shop ...if DD did play up i'ld leave !

I think everyone actually enjoyed having her there (long as i don't make a habit of it) and she actually did more Scrapbooking than me a couple of L/Os,The L/O above is hers and she did it all though I helped her with the paper trimmer. The bling and embellishment was given to her by friends and Keira choose the papers and the photo !!! She also started instructing me what she wanted with another project (I had to make a tv for her) She had a lovely day and we stayed all day !!! I was so proud of her too x Thanks to all the girls at the crop for making her feel welcome & a big thankyou to Cleo for letting us go !

Zoo & DT ...what a mixed post !!!

We have been to the Zoo last weekend & i'm so glad it was last weekend we had to go !!! Don't know if it's like it by you but its raining here, A lot different than last weeks blazing sunshine :D

30 people and a Zoo trip !!!

Hope you are all enjoying the HOT HOT weather today ? We are going to the Zoo for my daughters Birthday (she's 4) There will be 30 of us having a picnic on the lawn lol !!!
We go every year . So enjoy your day ...see you with pics later lol (and if i'm not back on its due to stress lol)

Kirsty Wiseman Guest designer

This week we are so lucky to have Kirsty Wiseman be our guest designer over at Fiskarettes . She is a lovely lady and a Fabby Scrapbooker. We are very lucky to have her do work for our blog. Computer has a problem and i'm on my laptop !!!!

My computer is being looked at as we speak, so on my laptop at the mo !!! All my photos , software etc is on the big computer so I haven't been posting as much as I like.
I have been painting Russian dolls, scrapbooking, tiara making and jewellery too so been busy with the crafting just not so busy with the blogging !!!

There is a ATC swap over at www.fiskarettes.co.uk that i'm entering. Not really done a ATC b4, actually I made one for an example !
The competition is still running and there aren't many entries so there's better odds winning a prize if you enter !

COMPETITION & 3 MONTH DT CALL !

The competition is running for fiskarettes (Free Fiskarette registration HERE) until 7th June and the DT call applications have to be in by 24th May you will recieve Fiskars tools and have to create 2 craft pieces a month, join in with challenges and just generally shout out about the blog when ever possible x Use previous links for more info and good luck , If you aren't sucessful do try again a few months time :D

I have made this lovely minibook & l/o from Bellaboo kit Something Blue It is only £20 for the kit and you get tons of products. It's really good value, I especially like the whole pack of blossoms there were tons ! I have lots of products left over to make more L/Os. Take a look in the Gallery to see more ideas from Cleo Bellaboos owner and Liberty the previous owner.


The minibook has a acrylic front page and i've made the pages out of Chipboard and covered with Patterned paper & cardstock. The papers are from Sassafras lass vintage collection.


Also keep a look out on Fiskarettes this week. We have a few ways of winning prizes at the moment running every month we have Blog Candy , a New competition coming up & an exciting surprise being announced soon. Not to mention all the tallented fiskarettes work being shown.

New things in the pipeline

I've got lots of things in the pipeline at the moment and not having too much time to blog personally, Including working in my parents garden centre any spare time I have ! .
I will get back on top of things I promise and will soon have lots of exciting New projects to show you.

Seeing the children are off of school I have been a bit craft with kids mad ! I have made a (sort of ) Chinese Dragons head, Easter hats & flowers and bubble painting bunnies with my youngest. The next venture is a Easter bonnet !!! (pics will follow)

An Easter Bonnet represents the tail-end of a tradition of wearing new clothes at Easter.

At the depths of the Great Depression a new hat at Easter, or a refurbished old one, was a simple luxury. The self-consciously quaint @bonnet', which had been tongue-in-cheek euphemism for a hatt for more than a generation.

Today the Easter bonnet is a type of hat that women and girls wear to Easter services, and in the Easter paradee following it. Ladies purchased new and elaborate designs for particular church services, and in the case of Easter, taking the opportunity of the end of Lentt to buy luxury items. Now, in a more casual society, Easter Bonnets are becoming harder to find, as fewer and fewer women bother with the tradition.
Modern Easter bonnets for children are usually white wide-brimmed hats with a pastel colored satin ribbon around it and tied in a bow. It may also have flowers or other springtime motifs on top, and may match a special dress picked out for the occasion.
Until recently, it was popular in infant schooll to ask a child to design an Easter-themed hat at that time of year.

My little ballerina

I have just been to my daughters 1st ballet parents eve ! I was so proud . Though she did want to have her socks pulled up to her knees for some reason !!! lol :D
