NEC Work & play !

I have been to the NEC twice this weekend. Once with http://www.fiskarettes.co.uk/ and the other time with friends.

I taught a class at a workshop with Fiskarettes on the Saturday . It was great to meet Fiskarettes and I think a fun time was had by all ! The Fiskarettes all made a card, Used Fiskars tools including the Shapecutter, Border punch & Squeeze punches.

We had a little chat about likes and dislikes of the Blog & the best thing was we could all sit & rest for a while whilst getting away from the busy stalls for a quick break.

As some of you ight already know ...I help run the blog Fiskarettes for Fiskars. This is a blog that is really for Fiskarettes (could be you) to Show off their craft work to other Fiskarettes. It's a great way to show other like mindinded people your fave projects and an ideal way to make new friends or even get new visitiors onto your blogs.
We have competitions (one coming very soon & its a fun comp this time) challenges, Blog candy and it it a place to go and suggest what you would like to see on a blog. We are in talks about having a DT. And have taken on board other ideas.
We have get togethers at least 2 times a year at NEC, this month is the 2nd one and you will be able to meet up, have a sit down & a chat. Play with the NEW 2009 Fiskars releases and just meet fellow Fiskarettes. There's even going to be a surprise for each Fiskarette & of course a free cuppa & a biscuit xx

So if you haven't already go and sign up xxx It is Free to sign up and you don't have to do a thing but it would be nice if you commented every now and then & even better posted a creation. :D

IF YOU ARE A FISKARETTE ......

and you fancy going to Hobbycrafts shows this month ....Go and visit the Fiskars stand at NEC or SECC & you will get a surprise !!! I will be at NEC Saturday 14th March in the afternoon to greet Fiskarettes at a Fiskartea, sit down , have a cuppa and try out the NEW 2009 tools Fiskars have just launched in the UK.

If you are going to either of the shows it will be well worth you signing up to become a Fiskarette. But do so anyway as we hold competitions, Challenges and just generally show off our work on the blog. The blog is helped along by myself and Caroline but it is a blog for FISKARETTES to post their own work and generally tell us what you would like or not like.

Anyone going to NEC or SECC March ???

Fiskars will be there and we will be doing something just for Fiskarettes on each of the Saturdays !!! We aren't allowed to tell you yet what we have planned but I can say there will be a chance to have a Tea or Coffee a sit down and a biscuit and Fiskarettes will be allowed to have a play with the tools (Hopefully the New releases for this year)
Times of the shows are as follows but Fiskarettes will only be there one day each show.

SECC - Glasgow, 5-8 March 2009 (09.30-17.00, Sat 17.30)
NEC - Birmingham, 12-15 March 2009 (09.30-17.30, Sun 17.00) I WILL BE HERE SAT !!

Fiskars will have a stand at both shows and there will be free demonstrations at the booth in the Halls - so pop along and see Fiskars too while you are there!

There are over 120 exhibitors at the shows covering a whole range of crafty products including papercrafts, sewing crafts and artist materials - something for everyone! I have personally been to the Trade show and saw a lot of NEW & exciting releases x

I've been recovering from weekend !!!

No I have not been partying :( But I have gone to Stitches Trade show at NEC with my friend Cleo Jarvis. We did have a laugh, I was in tears of laughter a couple of times. All I wished is that I took my camera !! Saw lots of New thngs and met Reena again on the Fiskars stand. They had some lovely display items on Fiskars stand too that have inspired me so watch this space !!!

Some other stands that stood out were the cocktail glasses full of glitter, the lovely people that work for The button company & their necklaces.. Cleo was in Heaven ! & the lovely Herma people who were quite local to me but I think I messed up one of their dispensers !!!
I only went for the experience but was really inspired & excited.... The only down thing is I couldn't go home with big shopping bags of stash :(

So my legs still ache and we were talking so much on the stands we nearly missed our train !

HOBBYCRAFTS NEC BIRMINGHAM

Hiya Just checking who's going to the NEC hobby craft show on Nov 13-16th ????
I'm going to be there all day Saturday 15th And if you have joined up to be a fiskarette we have something planned for the afternoon that sounds fun and we can meet all the rest of the Fiskarettes and just pop in at your own leisure . You might need a sit down after all that shopping lol !
I'm getting excited as i've never been to a big craft show before . I have been to the NEC but that was a wedding fair !
