Spring is well on its way

Here is a L/O I have made for Fiskarettes today. It was inspired by spring x

Unfortunately, Jayne's talent for acting was not as big as her skill for winning publicity, and she soon found herself demoted to small parts in Hollywood ... That would do me lol !!!

Unfortunately, Jayne became ill that morning with a stomach virus that was not very pleasant. Sounds nasty :D

Unfortunately, Jayne is there filling it to bursting again, and there's only one possible outcome. ummmmmm i wonder !

Unfortunately, Jayne isn't quite as nicey-nice as she appears. God help me as i dont look at all nicey nice !

Unfortunately Jayne and I spent the entire time trying to annihilate each other... i dont even know what this means !!!

Anyone going to NEC or SECC March ???

Fiskars will be there and we will be doing something just for Fiskarettes on each of the Saturdays !!! We aren't allowed to tell you yet what we have planned but I can say there will be a chance to have a Tea or Coffee a sit down and a biscuit and Fiskarettes will be allowed to have a play with the tools (Hopefully the New releases for this year)
Times of the shows are as follows but Fiskarettes will only be there one day each show.

SECC - Glasgow, 5-8 March 2009 (09.30-17.00, Sat 17.30)
NEC - Birmingham, 12-15 March 2009 (09.30-17.30, Sun 17.00) I WILL BE HERE SAT !!

Fiskars will have a stand at both shows and there will be free demonstrations at the booth in the Halls - so pop along and see Fiskars too while you are there!
Also, Fiskars have some workshops at the NEC, Birmingham - see full details {here}. In short:

There are over 120 exhibitors at the shows covering a whole range of crafty products including papercrafts, sewing crafts and artist materials - something for everyone! I have personally been to the Trade show and saw a lot of NEW & exciting releases x

Hellooooo

Today I made a game for my daughter to play with seeing she is off of school for half term. It's like Noughts and Crosses & it is all contained in the little box with lid.

Got the paper from Cleo my friend its Cosmo cricket , Mr campy range, The idea was on the back of the paper pack to make a game ! You can even make it in a tin and add magnets to the counters for a travel version !

Mess around

I love to mess about with photos and theres always some great free program I bump into. Have a look at this site its really funky like the name says and my kids like it too. You do have to register to save anything. CHECK IT OUT HERE . I'm thinking of printing some of the old looking photos that are taken this year and hand tinting them !! Thes are just two of my examples of Keira will play a little more later.

I've been recovering from weekend !!!

No I have not been partying :( But I have gone to Stitches Trade show at NEC with my friend Cleo Jarvis. We did have a laugh, I was in tears of laughter a couple of times. All I wished is that I took my camera !! Saw lots of New thngs and met Reena again on the Fiskars stand. They had some lovely display items on Fiskars stand too that have inspired me so watch this space !!!

Some other stands that stood out were the cocktail glasses full of glitter, the lovely people that work for The button company & their necklaces.. Cleo was in Heaven ! & the lovely Herma people who were quite local to me but I think I messed up one of their dispensers !!!
I only went for the experience but was really inspired & excited.... The only down thing is I couldn't go home with big shopping bags of stash :(

So my legs still ache and we were talking so much on the stands we nearly missed our train !

Monday Fiskarettes Challenge

Today I have made this L/O for Fiskarettes Challenge later today. It's my daughter Keira (again) . I wanted to document that she learnt about Chinese New Year at Nursery as she really loved this subject. I didn't have any Oriental papers so used mostly Christmas papers but I think they did the trick and it was a good way of using my old stash ! Might add some gold embossing to this L/O when I find my embossing pen ! :D

Don't forget the Fiskarettes Competition has a few more days to run (5th FEB) closing date.

PARIS HILTON at CHA !!!!

I have been scrapbooking for a few years years now and always been into crafts, often people that don't know me really well don't know I scrapbook. I keep it to myself as the reactions I get if I do tell them are "that's nice"

Scrapbooking is often described as kids stuff or boring etc.., but this hobby is about to get a major shakeup.
Over the weekend, Paris Hilton's line of craft products called the Paris Hilton Creativity Collection (http://www.pariscreativity.com/) was on display at the Craft and Hobby Association in Anaheim, Calf. Yes, you heard right! Paris allegedly keeps a scrapbook .. one can only imagine what's inside it.

The Paris Hilton Creativity Collection is made up of scrapbooking and embellishment kits aimed at teens and it's expected to appear in stores within 6-8 months in USA. While Paris hardly seems like a crafter -she's been working with Wooky Entertainment, a Montreal-based company, and she personally approves the style and look of the products. Think lots of pink & bling.Lets hope we see this in the UK !

So now I might not get the reactions I do get when I say I'm a scrapbooker , Lets see ! :D
