Scrapping on Circle Cardstock.

Today I scrapped a L/O for fiskarettes onto Circle cardstock , I love the look just not that keen on storing them ! I know that most of my L/Os go in pizza boxes for storing !!!! shocking i know !!!! but I do plan one day to put them in albums :D

HOBBYCRAFTS NEC BIRMINGHAM

Hiya Just checking who's going to the NEC hobby craft show on Nov 13-16th ????
I'm going to be there all day Saturday 15th And if you have joined up to be a fiskarette we have something planned for the afternoon that sounds fun and we can meet all the rest of the Fiskarettes and just pop in at your own leisure . You might need a sit down after all that shopping lol !
I'm getting excited as i've never been to a big craft show before . I have been to the NEC but that was a wedding fair !

The 24 Hr charity crop

Well I've survived the charity crop i didn't quite make 24hrs but did get home approx 2am !!!!
I taught a class , took part in two other classes and we had a raffle , some other kits and not to mention painting 1000s (OK 24 but it felt like 1000s ) of match boxes . Ellie bought her Modscraps shop too there were too many goodies for sale :o
I've posted the L/Os I've done in the classes below . Just wanted to update that there was a fun time had by all :D

ON SAT 25th Oct ....

I'm going to a 24hr charity crop in aid of St Peter's Hospice Bristol. ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO THE HOSPICE . I have been to one this year already and we all raised well over £1000 for Mc Millan trust and cancer research.
Fiskars have donated some prizes for the raffle and so have lots of other companies . MODSCRAPS are donating lots of scrapping goodies so we can teach classes through the day (its too dangerous to teach classes through the night lol !) :D
I'm really looking forwards to this but I'm not too sure I'll be staying for 24hrs managed 10 ish before so hopefully beat that.

Unfortunately its all booked up but I'm sure they will hold another one in 2009 x I'll let you know how we got on xxx

Halloween Cards

Halloween is like Marmite you either love it or hate it !!!! Ive had a big problem in the past as an adult with the knocking on doors thing ! But recently i thought i used to love it as a kid so why should i stop my kids doing it ??? I wont let them go out on their own ,and will only go to people in my street i know ! My fave thing is the dressing up , I just love sorting kids costumes out , its a good reason to get my camera out again too :D

Here are some cards ive made for halloween , if you want to know what i used to make them do go over to fiskarettes to see what i used :D Sorry i keep sending you off there its just my 2nd home now :D

I've bought a bird house !!!!

In the week ive bought a bird house , i was influenced by the caravan birdhouse over on Fiskarettes i just loved it. My birdhouse isnt a caravan shape just the ordinary box shape with a pointed roof . The funny thing is it was in Kit form and ideal for 8yrs up but i asked my husband if he could build it,i'm not good with nails and hammers !!! He laughed but it was made in a few mins and Keira had a go too LOOK !!!! I plan to cover my birdhouse and use it as a pen pot or something on my desk x

Getting my old tools out and dusting them off !!!!

I have been rooting round in my old paper crafting tools and came across my circle cutter ! I dusted it off and made one of the flowers i've learnt to make from my crafting (& cake eating ) buddy CLEO though mine doesnt seem to be as neat as hers !

OH and check out my Fiskars cutting mat its A3 size !!!!!!!!

If you fancy learning how to do this go over to Fiskarettes there i will show you how to make these with step by step instructions, These flowers are amazing when made up and you can use much prettier papers than i used for stunning looking flowers , i chose single sided Basic grey 'dasher' paper 'tree skirt' so you could see the contrast better for instructions . The flower edges can be inked too for great results.

Oh what a day !!!!

I had everything planned today take Keira to school ,blog for a few hours and wait for my Fiskars parcel , Then collect Keira from school , nip to the shop buy choc cake then take a drive to Cleo's home (my best scrapbooking buddy). ..... But i dont think anything went to plan !!!!!
I did make it to Cleo's a little late but i was there. We had a lovely Lunch and Keira & Evan played nicely most of the day, they had a few disagreements but thats due to Keira being a girl & Evan being a boy !!!! It was really nice to see Cleo as ive missed her company at the crops. Evan did scare me a little he got a bead stuck up his nose & we were trying to get him to blow his nose !!! A few snorts later the bead flew out just when i was thinking a trip to the Docs might be a good idea !!!! :D At one point i was handed a hamster and then his little owner walked off , i could picture a cat jumping up at me and the hamster having a full on fight with a cat on my lap !!!! The journey home was horrific i was stuck in traffic the sat nav wanted to take me a way i didnt want to go so i made my own way home . Had a great day though so thankyou Cleo and the boys for making me and Keira so welcome xxxx

First day

Today is the first day ive posted on the Blog over at FISKARETTES I'm really excited to be helping out with this blog and hopefully i will contribute to a growing community. If you have checked it already do look again as Caroline has yet to post today as we are both saying hello. I hope you will visit and also you will keep coming back :D . Do sign in as a Fiskarette if you have a few mins , there are tons of new things coming up and plenty of chances to win great prizes in the coming months and also you can showcase your work. The best thing is its not just a Fiskars site you can add your creations where ever the tools or papers etc. are from but of course it would be better still if you could showcase your own fiskars creations too x

My Exciting NEWS !!!! :D

I have a new P/T job sharing a position with a lovely lady that i knew on the net already but never knew in the flesh. We are working for FISKARS as FISKERETTE AMBASSADORS (sounds posh) !!!! We had to go to a two day training event in Nottingham this week and though the trip was very long and hectic it was really informative, i learnt alot about the products Fiskars make and sell not just crafts !!! And there is a lot of history attached to the company too.We had a sneeky peek of products being released later and played with some of the products that are out now.

IF you go and visit Fiskarette blog why dont you sign up as a fiskerette ...You'll get a fiskerettes freebie , and you will see Caroline and myself at work as from Monday...YOU will be able to contribute to lots of projects, articles, competitions (The prizes are FABBY as we have a lovely prize budget :D ) and theres going to be lots more . Caroline and myself might be starting on Monday but the blog is up and running already we both hope to be able to expand the site and we will listen to your output too we want to hear what you would like from a blog, we want to create a lovely community and want everyone to be part of the blog and to get them to show their work off & hopefully be inspired too - so DONT just sit there go and check it out yourself !!!
